Privacy policy
Plain language, because that's the whole point.
Last updated September 2026. This covers the otwprivacy.com website and waitlist. The extension will get its own policy before it ships.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address. Required, it's how we tell you we launched.
- Your situation and your "worst thing an application asked" answer, only if you fill them in.
- Where you came from: the referring page and any UTM tags in the link you clicked.
- A one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, for abuse control. We do not store your raw IP.
- The time you signed up.
What we do with it
- Send you one confirmation email now, and one email when the product is ready.
- Send the founder a notification so a human sees every signup.
- Nothing else. We don't sell it, share it, rent it, or use it to build an audience anywhere.
Analytics
If analytics are on, we use Plausible, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. There is no Google Analytics on this site and there never will be.
Where it lives
Amazon Web Services, US West (Oregon). Email goes out through Amazon SES.
Deleting it
Email hello@otwprivacy.com from the address you signed up with and say "delete me." We'll do it within a few days and reply once to confirm. No forms, no verification hoops.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page with a new date. We won't quietly widen it.
